Competitive Introduction to Robotics

Students Learn Physics to Improve Their Bots

Every Student Designs, Builds and Drives

Key Experiences

Based on Microbit, Lego Technics, and Makecode. Students build their bot to a standard build and start to compete right away. Simple games like Sumo or Tower Knock Down introduce frustrations to compete better. This motivates them through the course to continually modify their bots both mechanically and with software to better compete.

Key Outcomes

Every student designs, builds, and drives. Robot.100 is a great introduction to Robotics for any age. Focus on getting students to drive and compete with each other as soon as possible and then motivate learning by introducing challenges that make them modify their bots in order to compete.
Ask
When can I drive? Can I drive my own bot? What is software?
Think
How do I adjust my bot to climb a ramp? Can my bot go faster? Why can’t my bot push others very well?
Imagine
Differential steering is cool. Servos can be used for many things. I can program my bot so I don’t need a remote.
